She Likes The Dark by nymphont She Likes The Dark by nymphont
This is my "OC" Laila. :) If you saw her Sweet Lolita outfit [link] you might never guess this girl truly feels more comfortable in a Gothic Lolita look. She was just tired of the black hair after so many years, and she went to pink and yellow. She died the tips blue with kool-aid, (tacky, yes, but she knows from experience not to use actual blue dye on light colored hair such as hers, when it fades out it turns into a very unattractive puke green) <3

All vector/no raster, made in PhotoShop, using shapes and gradients. No PhotoShop styles, no brush or blur tool used what-so-ever. Yes, I know I should be using my illustrator. It is not an easy task making vectors in PhotoShop... but I just am more comfy with the program than AI!

This was very time consuming... especially her dress which is an original design of mine as well. I am not so sure I am happy with this piece, though I am happy it is all vector. I hope ya likes <3

I designed her little coffin with wings pendant on her necklace to resemble the tattoo I have on the back of my neck, tee hee, and I also use a similar symbol for the logo of Nymphont. <3

The title "She Likes The Dark" was inspired by Type O-Negative's "Black No. 1"

Oh, and in the center of the coffin, it's a keyhole btw.

Thank you :) It's actually a coffin. With wings. :XD: I used to be, a lot more, ummm... dark. I would have probably killed myself when I was younger if I had known that in the future I would like pink and dye my hair blonde. I have lightened up a lot.

And.. have a big ugly tattoo of a similar design on my neck. I really don't like it now. If it looked more like this one, I would like it, but mine looks really gnarly... like something evil or symbolic. Can we say DUMASS? How stupid to get a tattoo where you can't watch the process. And it's way too dark to burn off. Sigh.

[sorry for the novel, as always, tee hee]

oh.. :P Can't you erase the tattoo on your neck ? I also want a tattoo ( a Dragon tattoo :) ) on me, I'll get it painted on my hand.

I like your novel :XD: , it teaches me a lot of things. :)

I am going to look into getting the tattoo removed. Its so dark and big it will leave a terrible scar, but I think I might like that better than the tattoo.

I do like the mehndi (is that the correct term for it?) hand tattoo style from India. So very pretty. As is practically all the design and art originating there that I have seen.

wow, you know mehndi. Cool ! I didn't know you have such lots of information about Indian stuff. it's a natural color made by grinding the leaves of Henna plant. but it doesn't lasts for more than 2 or 3 weeks.
It's used on special occasions such as matrimonial functions. I had seen an user on dA, she has great set of Mehndi designs. you must see her collection. [link]

And be careful about removing the tattoo, I have heard that it gives a lot of pain while removing. :(

Yes I did know a little about it. It's very lovely.

I have heard tattoo removal is very painful, and I am sure the one I have will be especially since it's so dark. If I ever can afford to though, I will look into doing it. :)
